Job Purpose
The Finance Manager is responsible for overseeing all financial operations to ensure accurate accounting, statutory compliance, robust financial controls, and timely MIS reporting. The role ensures smooth audit management and delivers reliable financial insights to support informed decision-making. Working closely with senior leadership, Inter department Managers and finance team. The Finance Manager contributes to developing and executing financial strategies that drive organizational performance and long-term business objectives.

Duties and Responsibilities
Primary Responsibilities:
A. Accounting, Compliance & MIS Reporting
- Ensure monthly book closure within stipulated timelines with complete accuracy.
- Maintain 100% statutory and tax compliance including TDS, GST, PF, ESI, Professional Tax, SEZ regulations, Customs, and other applicable laws.
- Ensure zero penalties, notices, or non-compliance from statutory authorities.
- Prepare, review, and present accurate and timely financial statements and MIS reports within agreed TAT (e.g., by the 5th of every month).
- Ensure consistency, integrity, and accuracy and process adherence of financial data presented to management.
B. Audit Management & Internal Controls
- Coordinate with internal auditors to conduct audits as per approved audit plans.
- Manage statutory, tax, and external audits ensuring zero major audit observations.
- Track, document, and ensure 100% closure of audit observations within agreed timelines.
- Implement corrective and preventive actions to strengthen internal controls and safeguard company assets.
C. Financial Controls, Budgeting & Cost Management
- Lead the annual budgeting process, including financial planning and forecasting.
- Monitor budget vs actual spend, conduct monthly variance analysis, and highlight
- eviations with explanations.
- Support leadership with cost optimization initiatives and financial discipline.
- Ensure spending approvals align with approved budgets and financial authority matrix.
D. Invoice Processing Receivable and Payables Management
- Manage end-to-end invoice processing and Accounts Payable and Receivable operations within defined TAT, ensuring accuracy and efficiency
- Ensure error-free GL coding, cost center allocation, tax compliance, and adherence to approval hierarchies
- Maintain zero backlog in invoice processing while ensuring timely customer invoicing and collections
- Monitor receivables, optimize DSO, and ensure prompt follow-ups to minimize overdue balances
- Coordinate with vendors, procurement, and internal stakeholders to resolve
- discrepancies and ensure smooth financial operations
E. Cash Flow & Treasury Management
- Monitor and manage cash flow, including forecasting cash requirements.
- Optimize cash reserves while balancing liquidity, investments, and operational needs.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions to ensure healthy working capital.
F. SEZ and Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure compliance with SEZ Act, GST, Customs, and other regulatory frameworks.
- Manage SEZ benefits, exemptions, duty drawbacks, GST returns, and refunds.
- Coordinate with regulatory bodies including SEZ authorities, Customs, and Tax departments.
G. Financial Analysis and Strategic Support
- Develop financial models, forecasts, and performance dashboards.
- Analyze financial performance and prepare insights to support strategic and operational decisions.
- Support leadership with data-driven recommendations and disciplined financial execution
- Drive automation of recurring financial transactions and process improvements.
Secondary Responsibilities:
- Support strategic planning, business initiatives, and financial
- Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, bankers, and financial partners.
- Present financial updates, insights, and risk assessments to senior management and
- stakeholders. Foster a culture of professionalism, integrity, collaboration, and ownership within the finance function.
